The Objectives of English Language Teaching

A To provide students learning opportunities in using English as a medium of communication inside and outside classrooms.
B To enhance students’ English literacy and proficiency through applying the four language skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) in their daily lives.
C To arouse students’ interest in learning English.
D To motivate students to communicate with others in English proactively.
E To develop students’ sense of achievement in learning English.

 

 

Key Stage One (Primary 1 - Primary 3)

Students are working on the worksheets to consolidate their understanding on the target vocabulary.

Students are engaged in a reading aloud activity.

A Primary One student is matching a word card with the corresponding picture in PLP-R/W lessons.

Students are learning phonics through watching a video

Students have a lot of fun in an animal miming game.

Primary Three students are working on a crossword puzzle exercise in their self-directed learning booklets. 

The use of iPads as an e-learning tool makes students’ language learning more interesting. 


Key Stage Two (Primary 4 - Primary 6)


Conduct an interview about healthy eating habits.

Role Play a reporter and an ambassador on healthy diet

Students read aloud their own sentences on ZOOM.

Using Wordwall to review the target vocabulary items on ZOOM.

A sharing on a book report.
